The development of the Next-Generation Integrated Nanoscience Simulation software is a major challenge for next-generation nanoscience. For this project, a team of researchers has been gathered from national institutes, universities, and industry. The central role is being played by the Institute for Molecular Science. Together they are establishing a basis for computational nanoscience, focusing in particular on next-generation nano-informational functional materials, next-generation nano-biomolecules, and next-generation energy. The software is being designed to make full use of the Next-Generation Supercomputer.
